Most of the aspirants must be aware that the NTA will now take the charge to conduct the JEE Main 2019 exam both in January and April 2019. In the recent press release, HRD minister stated that “Aadhaar Card is mandatory for JEE Main Application Process”. The application forms for the January 2019 session will be out on 1st September 2018 and aspirants need to stay ready with their Aadhaar card, as without the card, it will be impossible to fill in the applications.
Why Aadhaar Card for JEE Mains 2019 exam?
Aspirants being a citizen of India should have an Aadhaar card issued by UIDAI. During the application process, aspirants will be asked to enter their details-Aadhaar card number, Name, Gender, and DOB which should match with the data stored in the UIDAI database. If the details will match, the aspirant will have the access to the application forms straightaway. Aspirants need to ensure that the details written in their Aadhaar Card is correct and is same as mentioned in their school records. If the details are different, it is advisable for the aspirants to go to the nearby UIDAI office and get it changed.
The students may be dealing with various different situations in terms of their Adhaar card availability or misprint of details. The following are the certain situations/conditions with their solutions:
Situation 1-Haven’t Applied for Adhaar Card yet
If the students have not applied for the Adhaar card, then they can simply visit the Adhaar enrollment or facilitation centre nearby and apply to the earliest. There is no fee for Adhaar enrollment.
Situation 2-Applied but haven’t received the Adhaar card in original yet
No need to worry, as application form will ask for the 12 digits enrollment number/id during the process. However, make sure to have the card during the examination process as a proof of identification.
Condition 3-No nearby Enrollment Centre
If there is no nearby enrollment centre, generate the request online and then the authority will give a registration number for the application form filling.
Situation 4 -Candidates belonging to Assam, J&K and Meghalaya
The students who belong to Assam, J & K and Meghalaya need not log in via Adhaar id. They need to have either bank account number, ration card number or passport number. However, these candidates will be allotted centres in their native cities only.
Aadhaar Card is mandatory for JEE Main Application Process. If you are planning to appear for the JEE Main 2019 exam, do have a UIDAI verified Adhaar card with correct details and information during the Joint Entrance Examination Mains 2019. Even if you do not have the Adhaar card in original, make sure to at least have 12 digits Enrollment Id as it is important during the application form.
